Chris Garabedian is a principal of Colonial Technology Development Co. He most recently was a member of Gilead Sciences' Operating Group as Vice President of Corporate Development in which he was responsible for evaluating M&A opportunities to facilitate the long-term growth of the company. He also served as Gilead's Vice President of Marketing and Vice President of Medical Affairs where he was responsible for leading the global launch of 4 market-leading products. His responsibilities at Gilead also included leading the Portfolio Review Process, facilitating the growth and reorganization of the global Commercial and Medical departments through the establishment of key committees and staff buildup in preparing the company for future growth.He also served as Alliance Manager for a joint venture with big pharma on a breakthrough product. Chris also held roles with Abbott Laboratories, COR Therapeutics, and Migliara/Kaplan Associates, a leading market research consulting firm to the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. He received his B.S. in Marketing from University of Maryland and has been a guest speaker on the biotechnology industry for Columbia University Business School and UC-Berkeley School of Business.
